Accommodation Capacity

    This prison is authorized by The Ministry of Justice as a felon and ordinary recidivists prison, which in principle, accommodates recidivists.　Concurrently, the prison receives prisoners from the Yilan, Banciao and Keelung District Prosecutors’ Office. The prison has an accommodation capacity of 2177 inmates.

　In order to enhance the management and strain crisis control capacity, each year, the prison performs nonscheduled fire drills and maneuvers against runaways , or riots in order to defend against riots up. Also, through coordination with North special task force group, the returning drills operated by the concepts of “Prevention comes first” defensive strategy to eliminate the preventive accidents happening. Also, the prison is equipped with high quality supervisory system, and utilizes the modern and advanced technology to promote the abstention which have greatly strengthen the space monitor ship.
